What are cookies
Small files (and similar tech) stored on your device when you use Custral.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits in our mobile apps — work in comparable ways. Together we refer to them as “cookies.” This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
How we use cookies
Essential, preference, and analytics/product-improvement cookies — no advertising.
- Essential cookies are required to run the Services — to keep you signed in, maintain your session, balance load, and protect against fraud and abuse. Our embeddable chat widget also uses a cookie or local storage to keep a conversation going on the sites where a customer has installed it. The Services will not work properly without essential cookies.
- Preference cookies remember your settings, such as your theme or language.
- Analytics and product-improvement cookies help us understand how the Services are used so we can fix problems and improve them. We use PostHog for product analytics, session replay (with text and inputs masked), and error tracking.
We do not use cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Managing cookies
Control or delete them in your browser; essential ones are needed for the app to work.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies. If you disable essential cookies, parts of the Services may not function. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where required by law; because browser support for “Do Not Track” is inconsistent, we do not currently respond to DNT signals.
